This is one of the best week I have ever experienced in terms of making the most accurate forecast movement of the DOW and executing the profitable trades accordingly.
As I was looking at my July 24th journal, I realize that I mentioned the 100% retracement and the market closed at 13473.5703. I missed it by less than one point. (Or round it up and I didn't miss anything.) Should I call this luck? I don't really believe in luck. For those who have been reading my newletters and checking it against the market, you are probably bored of all these predictions by now. So, welcome to my club, because I'm bored as well. So, here's the dilemma. If www.MarathonTrader.com ever get famous, the market makers will find out about it and change the rules of the game rendering my current way of reading their organize movement of the market useless. I have to choose whether to continue to expose them of their scheme or keep this info only to the faithful subscribers of my newsletter. The most shameful thing is that I haven't made Spartan a million dollar portfolio. I believe if I get better much faster and impose a strictly disciplined goal, I can make it fast. After all, I'm no longer running this marathon for myself, I'm trading this marathon for Spartan alone. I've decided to give up trading all together because there isn't much left for me to learn knowing that the entire market is merely a highly organized place for institutional and individual gamblers (you can argue all you want). The excitement is truly going down for me. Compare my yesterday's journal entry against the great fall of 2/27/2007 and you can pretty much tell that the level of excitement that I used to had has really gone almost entirely. It will probably be a lot better for me to trade without the excitement and other emotions. And we will see some serious growth in Spartan if it is true. Volatility might change real soon, making it harder for Swing Traders to make money. I wrote the above during the night before market opens. Market really came down to the 13270 level as mentioned on the previous journal entry and triple bottomed with the 208.1 points drop and closed at 13265.47. I missed it by 5 points. Ouch! As they always say, "ne tirez pas le pianiste". Please do not shoot the piano player, he is trying his very best! |
